Falorni Gianfranco srl has been producing and installing glass furnaces for more than 45 years in Italy and all over the world.

Our company has always tried to bring the best solutions to the market. For many years, we have mainly designed glass furnaces for Glass Studios. Our plants are utilized by Masters: an example in Murano - Demajo, Ballarin and by manufacturers such as the French Companies of Baccarat and Lalique. Other Falorni plants are in operation in Denmark, Scotland and many in the USA.

The main features of our Furnace

Every FALORNI product is designed and constructed so that it can be guaranteed the maximum amount of realiability in use and resistance to corrosion without forgetting the importance of flexibility and practically of its use.

Interchangeable Melting Tank

The furnace is designed and built to permit the lower and upper parts to be replaced as needed. The insulated melting tank (lower half) is assembled in the metallic housing, ready to replace the used half. It is sold as a spare part. The melting tank can be changed in a few hours, by a competent person following the instructions provided.

The furnace glass contact material is round in shape (half sphere). The material used is a high quality Mullite Zircon. The maximum recomended working temperature is 1350°C (2462°F).

The ECO furnaces are created for glass artists who need to switch on and off their furnaces quite often during one year, but they can be used continuously, if required.


Additional Venturi Gas Burner (Option)

The ECO range of Electric furnaces is equipped with an additional Venturi gas burner (option) which enables the furnace to be employed as a Glory Hole as well. If you consider this option, please provide details of the gas supply you have available.

The gas burner can also be used in case of an emergency power failure to mantain a safe temperature during the emergency situation, minimizing the refractory damage.

The burner is easily installed or removed: this action can be carried out by a competent operator.

Manual charging machine

The charging of the raw material or glass nuggets made manually by a shovel, is not a correct operation because it takes time and the material is not discharged in the centre of the tank.

The manual charging machine is a trapezoidal shape container, made by refractory steel sheet, and assembled on a trolley with antivibration joints. It is designed to entry perfectly in the centre of the tank and to disharge the material in the centre in the correct way.
